Every baby born in Belgium is entitled to a one-time birth allowance of € 1.238,78, followed by monthly child benefits.

- In Flanders and Wallonia, child benefit payments are typically made around the 8th of each month.
- In Brussels, you can count on the payment the first of each month (or some days after).
